Privacy Policy

FPVBase ("we", "us", "the platform") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, who we share it with, and what rights you have over it. It applies to fpv-base.com and all its subdomains.
1. Who is responsible for your data
FPVBase is published by an individual, in a non-professional capacity (see our Legal Notice). For any question or request regarding your data, contact contact@fpv-base.com.
2. What data we collect
- Account information: email address, username, and password (hashed by our authentication provider, Supabase — never seen by us in plain text).
- Content you publish: model titles, descriptions, tags, print notes, images, STL files, comments, and requests.
- Interaction data: likes, favorites, votes, and downloads (anonymous downloads use an identifier stored in your browser, not tied to your identity — see our Cookie Policy).
- Reports you submit: content reported, reasons selected, details provided.
- Moderation data (if applicable): restriction/ban status and reason, visible only to moderators.
- Technical data: IP address, browser/device information, processed by Cloudflare as part of normal web traffic.
Browsing, searching, and downloading do not require an account and involve no personal data collection beyond the technical data above.

We do not sell your data, and we do not use advertising or analytics trackers.
5. International data transfers
Supabase stores your account and content data within the EU. Cloudflare and Google process some data outside the EU/EEA under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework. Resend, which stores data in the United States, relies on Standard Contractual Clauses (approved by European Commission Decision 2021/914).
6. Cookies and local storage
We use a small amount of browser storage — no advertising or tracking cookies. See our separate Cookie Policy for details.
7. How long we keep your data
We keep your account and content data for as long as your account is active. You can permanently delete your account and its associated data at any time from your profile page ("Danger zone" section) — when doing so, you can choose to either remove your published models and comments entirely, or keep them credited to "Community" so they remain useful to other pilots. This action is immediate and cannot be undone.
8. Your rights
Under the GDPR, you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, correct inaccurate data, delete your data ("right to be forgotten"), restrict or object to certain processing, and receive a copy of your data in a portable format. To exercise any of these rights, contact contact@fpv-base.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the French data protection authority, the CNIL (cnil.fr), or your own country's equivalent authority.
9. Minimum age
FPVBase is not intended for anyone under 16 years old, in line with GDPR requirements. We do not knowingly collect data from children under this age.
10. Security
We limit access to your data through database-level access controls (row-level security), so that, for example, only you can see your own favorites, and only moderators can see moderation-related data. All traffic to FPVBase is encrypted (HTTPS).
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the platform evolves. Significant changes will be noted on this page.
